All in Blind is Stuck in a Time Warp

All in Blind
The 1990s were full of alternative rock bands like The Goo Goo Dolls, Vertical Horizon, and Third Eye Blind. And with a bat of an eye, the genre seemed to disappear, folding into itself to make way for much poppier music. Bands like No Doubt disappeared as bands and re-emerged with Gwen Stefani paving a way into pop-stardom. Alt-rock had died. In Connecticut, however, alternative rock is alive and well partially thanks to All in Blind.
A simple seven-track release, All in Blind's debut album, falls perfectly into the alternative rock genre, following the same path as early Goo Goo Dolls ("Dizzy Up The Girl" and "A Boy Named Good," not "Gutterflower.") Each track fits perfectly into the next and the album is engineered flawlessly. Lyrically, All in Blind has struck a chord, creating songs that are intelligent and engaging.
The band performs equally well live as they do on their record. They shine on tracks like "One" and "Trust" though each track holds its own successfully. Should you get the chance we suggest you see this band live and check out their cover of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young's "Ohio." It'll blow your mind.
