The Blackout

By Laura Robida

It's a blackout. Scratch that. It's The Blackout. The rock sextet is out on the road with the Sleep All Day, Party All blackoutNight Tour and we're sure there's a good deal of partying going on . With songs that are driving and full of hooks, it's hard to imagine anything but a party when The Blackout starts playing.

With the unique set-up of two lead vocalists (neither of whom are credited with playing additional instruments). They've combined with riff-based rock with melodic punk, metal, and screamo. An interesting combination to say the least but this group makes it work.  You could call them eclectic or unique but we prefer to think of The Blackout as the best new rock band you're not listening to.

Take a listen to "Spread Legs, Not Lies," "I'm a Riot, You're a Riot," and "Prepare for a Wound" and you'll understand why The Blackout is a must-add to your music collection.
