There's something of a laid-back retro vibe to this keyboard driven tune from Mack Winston and the Reflections. Reminiscent of Roxy Music and T Rex, the band has made a name for themselves out in the Los Angeles area. They've played with The Donnas for the band's 15th Anniversary show this past May and will join the band again for Desert Moon 2 later this month. It’s like a boombox recording, something that you might have expected to find on an old-school MTV Party to Go cassette. Youthquake is the project of Donnas' guitarist Allison Robertson's younger sister Emily Robertson and drummer Timothy Jimenez. "In the End" is catchy and somewhat unexpected. American Bang got a lesson in rock and roll from the ladies of The Donnas last year when they went out on the road as part of the Feather Nation Tour. "Rock This City" is a preview of the band's forthcoming LP from Warner Bros and is pure Bang. It's upbeat, featuring the bands signature riffs and of course lead singer Jaren Johnston's mile-a-minute lyrics.
