McQueen
There are very few female metal bands that are worth their salt. McQueen stands out as one of those bands. They have the distinction of being the best female metal band to come out of the UK since Girlschool and that speaks volumes about this band. They dish out filthy punk rock while hitting home with some of the most powerful metal that's been produced by any metal band in the last 20 years.

McQueen has managed to cull together anthemic songs that would be equally at home in the dingiest of clubs on the Sunset Strip circa 1985 or in a crowded arena. Leah Duhors vocals are raw and full of emotion and Hayley Cramer's drumming rivals that of any other drummer currently on the scene. Cat de Casanove's guitars, however, really pull the puzzle together and she has mastered the necessary grinding rhythms and deals out more filth from her single guitar than bands do with numerous guitarists.
